This rolled gold bark effect finish vintage fountain pen was launched by Parker in September of 1979 and discontinued in 1982, so it is quite rare. It is a stylish and substantial pen and was positioned at the higher price end of the Parker range. The cap with its long arrow clip has no engraving around the lip. The rolled gold bark effect finish is also used on the cap crown and barrel base. The barrel has a smooth lozenge for personalisation. Around the lip of the barrel is the Parker logo and the words “Parker Made in England”. The 14ct nib has a smooth medium point. It is worth mentioning that a limited edition version was launched in 1981 to commemorate the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Condition is very good. It measures 132mm with cap on and 142mm with cap on barrel end. As usual with cartridge filling pens, when inserting a new cartridge, you will need to give the cartridge a squeeze initially to encourage the transfer of ink through to the feed. An unusual and quite rare vintage fountain pen from an excellent manufacturer. Suitable for everyday use or to add to a vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. A gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment. A currency converter tool is there to assist if required.

This delightful lever filling Waterman sterling silver overlay vintage pen and pencil set was made in America around 1930. The overlay pattern is termed "Basketweave". In common with the fashion at the time it has a ring on the top of the cap of both fountain pen and pencil rather than a clip. It was designed to take a ribbon or chain through the cap ring, which enabled ladies to wear it around the neck or a gentlemen to hang it from a watch chain. It has the Waterman branding on the lip of the pen cap and towards the crown of the pencil. The model number 452½v is on the bottom of the pen barrel – it follows the Waterman numbering of 4 = sterling silver, 52½ = slender size and lever fill and “v” = short length. The Waterman "Ideal" lozenge is on the pen lever and the personalization lozenge on both items is clear. Condition is good with some minor age wear and a couple of small dings at the bottom of the pen barrel where the cap sits when writing. The fine to medium point Waterman nib has some flex and it is a pleasure to use. The pencil has lead in the chamber, which you extend or retract by turning the nozzle. The fountain pen measures 95mm with cap on and 130mm with cap on barrel end. The pencil measures 93mm (both taking into account the ring top). A short but exceptional vintage fountain pen and pencil set suitable to either add to a collection or to use everyday. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you are also able to select your payment method.

This vintage fountain pen and pencil set was made in England by Parker around 1955. The aerodynamic design of the Parker 51 fountain pen has made it a classic and the plaudits it has received over the years both in terms of design and reliability are well deserved. It has been marketed as 51…the world’s most wanted pen”.  This particular example, a set of fountain pen and pencil, has a burgundy body and a Parker rolled gold cap with “jewel” end and arrow clip. The fountain pen has a Parker 51 smooth medium nib – it states “Parker Made in England RU 1955”. The aerometric filling system is often termed "squeezebox" and is a very simple method of filling the pen with ink by unscrewing the barrel to expose a metal shell covering the ink sac - just press the metal bar and release up to five times and this vintage pen is ready to use. The matching cap activated pencil is in full working order and takes 0.9mm leads. The fountain pen measures 138mm with cap on and 151mm with cap on barrel end. The pencil measures 135mm. This is a good example of a classic vintage fountain pen and pencil set.  It comes in its original hard case box with a hinged lid, silk lined branded interior and with Parker branding on the box lid. There is some “foxing” to the box interior as shown in the montage otherwise this classic vintage fountain pen set is in very good condition and suitable to add to a collection or to use as everyday writers. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. The camera has picked up some workbench dust on the shell of the pen.

This Parker Junior Duofold vintage fountain pen was made in America around 1929 and is a classic Parker fountain pen of the period. It is a shortish but chunky pen measuring 116mm with cap on and 144mm with cap on barrel end. The barrel imprint states “Geo S. Parker Duofold – Made in U.S.A. Patented”. The Parker medium point nib states “Parker Pen – 14k N” and is a pleasing writer. The “N” on the nib stands for the UK Newhaven plant and so it is likely that the nib has been changed since the 1920’s. The cap has the Parker Duofold ball ended clip and two rolled gold cap bands. It is in good condition with some general age wear to barrel and cap. This vintage pen is a button filler – you undo the cap at the end of the barrel to reveal a button – depress the button and you deflate the sac – let go of the button and the ink fills the sac – easy. A good shortish chunky everyday writer -  a classic of the period and one that will also sit well in a vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. A gift box is available free of charge upon request at checkout where you can select your method of payment.

This unusual and stylish late vintage fountain pen was made by Parker in the U.S.A. c1982 and is reported to have been discontinued with the rest of the series in 1983. It was termed the Parker “50” or Parker "Falcon". It followed the success of the original brushed steel Flighter version released in 1978. The nib is an integral part of the section and on its launch Parker advertised it as the second pen without a separate nib – the first being the quill. Its sleek, elegant and futuristic styling is quite distinct. The polished nib tip is pleasantly offset by the overall matt brown metal finish, gold plated section ring and Parker arrow clip. It is a slim pen measuring 130mm with cap on and 140mm with cap on barrel end. It has a Parker aerometric filler system fitted (so you may use bottled ink) and it will also take current Parker ink cartridges. Condition is very good as can be seen in the montage. With its sleek aerodynamic styling this late vintage fountain pen is suitable to add to a collection or to use as an every day writer if you like a smooth medium nib. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This Parker 51 Insignia Duo of fountain pen and pencil was made in the U.S.A. around 1955. A luxury American model it was advertised at the time as “especially created for those who enjoy the finer things in life” - it quickly became a popular model for the more discerning customer. The finish is a 1/10 14k gold filled overlay in a pattern with sets of 3 parallel lines with a gap between covering the main body and the cap – with a black nib shell and the Parker grey cap crown “jewel” on both items. The fine to medium point Parker nib states “Parker Made in USA 195 RU-PL”. The personalisation lozenge is clear on both items. The fountain pen measures 135mm with cap on and 152mm with cap on barrel end. The cap activated continuous feed pencil is in working order and takes 0.9mm replacement leads. It measures 133mm in length. The Parker “51” marketed as “51…the world’s most wanted pen” is not only a collector’s item but also an excellent everyday workhorse. This particular luxury set, in very good condition with its original presentation case, is an excellent example of Parker at the top end of their range.  All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. You may select your method of payment at checkout.

This vintage fountain pen and pencil set was made by Parker in 1960. It is a Parker Junior Duofold set and forms part of the very popular Duofold range of the period with its solid black colour and rolled gold trim. It is generally reported that the Junior Duofold was not available until 1962. However the barrel reference on this example has a date code for 1960. Unusually the fountain pen has a broad to medium nib point. The nib text reads “Parker 14k England 10” which is the correct nib number for this model. The barrel text reads “Parker Junior Duofold Made in England 6”. It has an aerometric filling method, sometimes called “squeezebox” which is very simple to use. The fountain pen measures 133mm with cap on and 154mm with cap on barrel end. The matching rotary pencil measuring 118mm in length has been recently serviced and it carries a rubber underneath the pencil cap. It takes 0.92 modern leads. Both items are in good condition with only minor age wear. A good example of Parker everyday writers in the 1960’s – once again ready to use today. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you are able to select your method of payment.

This vintage fountain pen and pencil set was made by Conway Stewart, in England around 1953. The pattern is called Green Hatch and the model, a No.60, was their flagship selling for 35 shillings until it was overtaken by the No.100 in 1954. As you will see from the photograph the fountain pen cap has one broad rolled gold band and the distinctive Conway diamond clip. The barrel carries the original Conway lever and a good imprint stating “Conway Stewart 60 – Made in England”. The nib fits the model stating “DURO Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 60” and has a smooth medium point. The matching expel/repel pencil is also in full working order and carries the Conway clip and two thin rolled gold bands. The text on the pencil reads “The Conway No.18 – Conway Stewart”. Replacement lead size is 1.18mm and Yard O Led will suffice. Condition on both items is very good with very minor age wear to the trim. They come in the original Conway gift box which is in good condition apart from a scuff mark on the lid top – as shown in the montage. The No.60 is a chunky pen measuring 127mm with cap on and 15mm with cap on barrel end. The pencil is 130mm long. A good example of Conway Stewart at their best, this attractive vintage pen and pencil set, in the original box, is suitable to either add to a collection or use as an everyday workhorse. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection will be carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order.

It is a "W5" with the classic styling of black body and cap and rolled gold trim of three decorative cap bands to the cap lip. The barrel text reads “Waterman’s Made in England W5”. Having tested it as a “right hander” I can verify it is very pleasing to use. It is a good size vintage pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 152mm with cap on barrel end.
