This exceptionally popular fountain pen range was launched by Parker in the USA in 1964 and, in its various finishes, was produced for the next thirty years. Parker called it the “75” following on from their usage of numbers to denote models which restarted with the “51”. This particular example, dating from around 1966, is in a more difficult to find finish Parker called the Vermeil Ciselé. The sterling silver cross hatch pattern (said to be inspired by a cigarette case made by a London silversmith) is overlayed with gold fill providing a particularly attractive lustre. Around the lip of the cap are the wordsParker Made in U.S.A. Sterling & 14K G.F.”. The cap crown and barrel end have a gold fill flat tassie. You will note the ridged area between the nib and the barrel that was designed to increase the writer’s grip. The advantage of the “75” nib unit is that the nib collar will rotate if you wish to move the nib to an alternative angle to suit your writing style – note the ruled lines and zero reference mark. The striking “75” nib states “14k Parker USA” with a “F” mark on the feed at the rear, presumably to state a fine point nib. On test, it appears to me to have more of a medium line so I have listed as fine to medium. The section threads are plastic. It will take a standard Parker ink cartridge (as usual with ink cartridges you will need to give the cartridge a squeeze once in position to start the ink flow).

It comes with the original Parker 75 box. The green velvet interior is clean and from the good condition of the pen it seems to have been kept in the box over the years. The exterior of the box is in fair to good condition. It also has the original instruction leaflet. Unusually this includes the “adjusting tool” – normally lost over the years - to enable you to turn the nib left or right to adjust to your favoured writing angle without inking your fingers.  Condition of the pen is good with some brassing to cap and barrel tassie. The pen is a pleasing weight in the hand and has a comforting click to the replacement of the cap on the barrel following use. This stylish vintage fountain pen is a good size measuring 127mm with cap on and 138mm with cap on barrel end. It is a classic late vintage Parker in a rare to find finish in good condition with its original box, leaflet and nib adjusting tool.  It is suitable for everyday use or to add to a Parker vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Ink cartridge filling instructions are contained within the accompanying leaflet. It does not come with a squeezebox filler unit to enable bottle ink filling. A gift box is available free of charge on request if you would prefer this to the Parker box. Just request this at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This vintage fountain pen – the Pelikan 140 – was made in Germany around 1959. The 140 was introduced in 1952 and continued to be a popular model until 1963. It is easily identified by the green barrel with vertical black stripes and the solid black cap with its distinctive rolled gold Pelikan clip - designed to resemble a Pelikan’s beak. The text around the cap lip reads “PELIKAN 140 GERMANY”. The earlier models had an engraving on the barrel knob to indicate the width of the nib. This is not evident on this example however on test it writes with a medium to slightly broad nib. The nib text reads “Pelikan 14c 585” with a Pelikan logo in the centre. It is a piston filling pen so you turn the barrel knob to allow the ink to enter. It is a medium sized vintage fountain pen measuring 123mm with cap on and 139mm with cap on barrel end. Condition is good, with some surface scratches and brassing to the cap band and clip – this is common for this model and it lives up to Pelikan’s reputation for quality products. Whilst it is a light pen it has good balance and the 140 has been called “a rugged, everyday, take anywhere pen” so it is suitable for everyday use or to add to a vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. A gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment. A currency converter tool is there to assist if required.

This vintage fountain pen - the Parker “51”, was launched in England by Parker in the early 50’s. Its aerodynamic design has made it a classic and the plaudits it has received over the years both in terms of design and reliability are well deserved. It has been marketed as 51…the world’s most wanted pen”. This particular example has a Black body with a metal cap in a finish Parker termed “Lustraloy” with a thin band at the cap lip above which is the “Parker” branding. It comes with a smooth Parker 51 smooth medium to slightly broad point nib that states “585 14k Parker England ”. There is a ghost of text around the barrel but it is too feint to read. Condition of both pen and cap is fair to good with some general age wear as can be seen in the montage and marks on the cap where the clip has been loose and turned in the past. This is reflected in the price. What makes this particular example stand out is the smooth Parker 51 medium to slightly broad point nib. The aerometric filling system is often termed "squeezebox" and is a very simple method of filling the pen with ink by unscrewing the barrel to expose a metal shell covering the ink sac - just press the metal bar and release up to five times and this vintage pen is ready to use. It measures 138mm with cap on and 148mm with cap on barrel end. The Parker "51" was an outstandingly popular fountain pen in its day and it remains a stylish and extremely good “work horse” today. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. A gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This exceptionally popular fountain pen, part of a recently purchased collection, was launched by Parker in the USA in 1964 and, in its various finishes, was produced for the next thirty years. Parker called it the “75” following on from their usage of numbers to denote models which restarted with the “51”. This particular example was manufactured in the Parker factory in France and is in a pattern Parker called Grain d’Orge – or Fine Barley which is on gold plate over a brass base. It dates from c1983. Around the lip of the cap are the words “Parker Made in France LE” and the Parker logo. You will note the ridged area between the nib and the barrel which is designed to increase the writer’s grip. The nib states “Parker 75cm France”. The feed has “F” on the reverse denoting a fine point and this is in fact the case. The section threads are plastic and the top of the cap and end of the barrel are dished. It can be filled either by using the squeezebox fill that is in place or by inserting a Parker ink cartridge (as usual with ink cartridges you will need to give the cartridge a squeeze once in position to start the ink flow). Condition is very good with only minor age wear. It measures 127mm with cap on and 14mm with cap on barrel end. It is a pleasing weight in the hand and the cap has a comforting click when replacing it on the barrel. An attractive and substantial fountain pen it is suitable for everyday use, if you prefer a fine nib point, or to add to a vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. A gift box is available free of charge at checkout.

This vintage fountain pen forms part of the Targa range - a very successful model produced by the Sheaffer Pen Company. This particular example, issued around 1976, has a sterling silver finish with an attractive chequered pattern offset by the gold plated Sheaffer Targa clip with its white dot quality lifetime mark. The fountain pen sports the stylish Sheaffer 14ct gold inlaid nib with a medium point which states "Sheaffer USA 585 14k". The text around the cap lip reads “Sterling Silver Sheaffer USA”. As you will see from the montage there is some minor age wear and this is reflected in the price. The fountain pen is fitted with a Sheaffer squeezebox filling unit and it will also take a current Sheaffer ink cartridge. This attractive and stylish vintage fountain pen measures 135mm with cap on and 152mm with cap on barrel end. The Targa range is fast becoming highly collectable and, with its large range of finishes, is an interesting model to collect as well as a pleasure to use everyday. This lever filling vintage fountain pen was made by Waterman in England in the 1940’s. It is a "W5" with the classic styling of black body and cap and rolled gold trim of three decorative cap bands to the cap lip. The barrel text reads “Waterman’s Made in England W5”. The rolled gold clip also carries the Waterman branding. The nib is unusually a left oblique with a medium point. It reads Waterman’s 14ct W3”. Having tested it as a “right hander” I can verify it is very pleasing to use. It is a good size vintage pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 152mm with cap on barrel end. Condition is good with only minor age wear. A classic Waterman that will serve very well as an everyday writer. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. This stylish Parker Duofold vintage fountain pen was made in England at Parker’s Newhaven plant. On its launch in 1946 Parker called it the “New Style Duofold”. Easily recognisable with its slightly chunky styling, ornate cap lip band and blind cap metal tassle, it was available in two solid and three marble colours. This particular example is in Classic Black which contrasts well with the rolled gold trim. The barrel imprint states “Geo S.Parker – Parker Duofold Reg. T.M.”. The Parker 14ct medium point nib states “Parker Duofold Pen 14k N” – the “N” referring to the Newhaven plant. It is a good size, slightly chunky, vintage button filling fountain pen measuring 130mm with cap on and 154mm with cap on barrel end. Condition is fair to good with cosmetic wear only and this is reflected in the price. This restored New Style Duofold with its classic styling will now provide many more years of everyday writing service. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. This iconic limited edition Parker 75 fountain pen was made in the U.S.A. in 1977 from brass rescued from the “RMS Queen Elizabeth” following a disastrous fire which sent her to the bottom of Hong Kong harbour. Only 5000 pens were made for worldwide distribution – this is number 1716/5000. Upon the ship’s launch in 1938 it was said to be the largest passenger liner the world would ever see. It was used during WWII to transport American troops and refitted as a luxury ocean liner in 1946. Thereafter it carried the world’s most interesting and influential people. It was felt that a fitting tribute to the demise of such a great liner would be the creation of a limited amount of Parker pens made from the brass rescued from the ship – and this is one. Each pen has a special wooden box together with a Certificate of Authenticity stating the limited edition number. This number is also carried on the cap lip with the text “Parker Made in U.S.A. 1716/5000”. As you will see from the montage the presentation wooden box carries a brass plaque setting out the liner’s history and the fountain pen barrel has a plaque stating “RMS Queen Elizabeth”. The nib states “Parker 14k Point U.S.A.” and has medium marked on the rear of the feed. This example of a much sought after late vintage fountain pen is in good condition with only minor age wear including some cosmetic wear to the box front clasp and some letters underneath the box clasp. This is reflected in the price. There is no personalisation on the fountain pen itself. It is a good size and quite heavy vintage fountain pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 140mm with cap on barrel end. It can be used with bottle ink using the attached filler unit or with a Parker ink cartridge. A sought after Parker classic, it is suitable to add to a vintage fountain pen collection or to use as an everyday writer. I have photographed it on a photocopy of the Certificate to protect it. It is actually cream. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. You may choose your method of payment at checkout.

This aerometric filling vintage fountain pen range was introduced by Parker in 1953 and, with its solid colour range and rolled gold trim, was well received. It sold well until the range was discontinued in 1962. This particular example, in a colour Parker termed simply “Green” dates from 1954 and is one of the larger models. The green is actually lighter than illustrated. It is a chunky and long vintage pen measuring 138mm with cap on and 155mm with cap on barrel end. The cap has the Parker single decorative chevron band and the Parker arrow clip. The barrel imprint has faded over the years but what can be seen states “Parker Duofold”. The good size medium to broad point nib is a slightly wet writer and states “Parker 14k England”. The filler unit is a very simple squeezebox method. This classic vintage fountain pen is in good condition with only minor age wear and is suitable for everyday use. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. This substantial vintage fountain pen was made by Waterman and sold under the Asprey name in the late 1930’s. The heavy 9ct gold overlay on hard rubber has a smooth finish and, as you will see from the montage, carries a heraldic crest on the barrel. The cap has the ball ended clip of the period, the words “Asprey” Waterman’s Ideal Fountain Pen” around the cap lip and 9ct hallmarks on the cap and cap crown. The barrel is also well hallmarked combined with the usual Frank D Waterman initials and “Waterman’s” branding lower down. Condition is very good with only a minor ding on the cap crown. The filling lever also carries the Waterman’s logo. The medium point nib states “Waterman 14ct W-2A” and is a smooth writer and a pleasure to use. It weighs 34grams and measures 138mm with cap on and 175mm with cap on barrel end. So a quite heavy, long and elegant example of Waterman at their best combined with the Asprey reputation for high quality and exclusive design.  It will sit well in a vintage fountain pen collection but will serve equally well as an every day writer. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order.
