This exceptionally popular fountain pen range was launched by Parker in the USA in 1964 and, in its various finishes, was produced for the next thirty years. Parker called it the “75” following on from their usage of numbers to denote models which restarted with the “51”. This particular example, dating from around 1966, is in a more difficult to find finish Parker called the Vermeil Ciselé. The sterling silver cross hatch pattern (said to be inspired by a cigarette case made by a London silversmith) is overlayed with gold fill providing a particularly attractive lustre. Around the lip of the cap are the wordsParker Made in U.S.A. Sterling & 14K G.F.”. The cap crown and barrel end have a gold fill flat tassie. You will note the ridged area between the nib and the barrel that was designed to increase the writer’s grip. The advantage of the “75” nib unit is that the nib collar will rotate if you wish to move the nib to an alternative angle to suit your writing style – note the ruled lines and zero reference mark. The striking “75” nib states “14k Parker USA” with a “F” mark on the feed at the rear, presumably to state a fine point nib. On test, it appears to me to have more of a medium line so I have listed as fine to medium. The section threads are plastic. It will take a standard Parker ink cartridge (as usual with ink cartridges you will need to give the cartridge a squeeze once in position to start the ink flow).

It comes with the original Parker 75 box. The green velvet interior is clean and from the good condition of the pen it seems to have been kept in the box over the years. The exterior of the box is in fair to good condition. It also has the original instruction leaflet. Unusually this includes the “adjusting tool” – normally lost over the years - to enable you to turn the nib left or right to adjust to your favoured writing angle without inking your fingers.  Condition of the pen is good with some brassing to cap and barrel tassie. The pen is a pleasing weight in the hand and has a comforting click to the replacement of the cap on the barrel following use. This stylish vintage fountain pen is a good size measuring 127mm with cap on and 138mm with cap on barrel end. It is a classic late vintage Parker in a rare to find finish in good condition with its original box, leaflet and nib adjusting tool.  It is suitable for everyday use or to add to a Parker vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Ink cartridge filling instructions are contained within the accompanying leaflet. It does not come with a squeezebox filler unit to enable bottle ink filling. A gift box is available free of charge on request if you would prefer this to the Parker box. Just request this at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This lever filling vintage fountain pen was made by Conway Stewart in England around 1939. It is made of chased hard rubber in common with many fountain pens of the period. The barrel text reads “The International Pen – Conway Stewart London – No.356” with “Made in England” lower down the barrel. I have listed it in fair to good condition as there is pitting to the chrome plated clip and filling lever carrying the Conway branding. However, it deserves to be used once again for its Conway 14ct gold 1A nib that has a medium point with some flex. I have priced it accordingly. It is quite a long vintage pen measuring 129mm with cap on and 160mm with cap on barrel end. A Conway workhorse that will impress when you use it. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This vintage pen is one of the successful Targa range - a model produced by the Sheaffer Pen Company from 1976 to 1999. This particular version, with its gold plated finish is one of the earlier models and dates from around 1976. The cap carries the words “Sheaffer U.S.A. Gold Electroplated” and the Sheaffer “crown”. It has the stylish Sheaffer inlaid nib that provides a smooth, firm, medium point. The text on the nib states "Sheaffer U.S.A. 585 14k". Condition is very good. It comes in its original red presentation box and this has obviously protected it well. As you would expect it has the Sheaffer "Lifetime" dot on the gold plated clip. The cap has a plain area for personalization and you will note that it also carries the original retail sticker that states “Targa 1005 Medium”. This attractive and stylish fountain pen has a Sheaffer squeezebox filler unit fitted but you could also use a Sheaffer ink cartridge available from most stationers if you prefer. It is quite a substantial pen in the hand and measures 135mm with cap on and 153mm with cap on barrel end. The Targa series, with its wide range of finishes, is an interesting model to collect as well as a pleasure to use everyday. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. A gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

Here we have a Parker 51 Duo of fountain pen and ballpoint. Parker extended the “51”range to include Duo sets with the addition of the ballpoint in the UK around 1956. The sets were understandably very popular at the time. However, unusually this particular duo example in black with rolled gold cap was made in Argentina in the late 1950’s/early 60’s for the South American market. The aerometric (squeezebox) filler unit states “Parker Industria Argentina” with the Parker logo. The fine point nib states “Parker Octanium Industria Argentina”. The advantage of the Octanium nib is its resistance to wear and its strength. Thus it has a firm point which some prefer to a gold nib. The cap text on both fountain pen and ballpoint states “Industria Argentina” and the Parker logo. Both cap crowns carry a black tassie. The ballpoint takes modern Parker refills and has a blue medium refill in place. The fountain pen measures 139mm with cap on and 150mm with cap on barrel end. The ballpoint length is 127mm. Condition is good with very minor age wear. A classic Parker set to either add to a collection, present as a gift or to have for personal everyday use if you prefer a firm nib and a fine point. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you will also be able to select your payment method.

This iconic limited edition Parker 75 fountain pen was made in the U.S.A. in 1977 from brass rescued from the “RMS Queen Elizabeth” following a disastrous fire which sent her to the bottom of Hong Kong harbour. Only 5000 pens were made for worldwide distribution – this is number 1716/5000. Upon the ship’s launch in 1938 it was said to be the largest passenger liner the world would ever see. It was used during WWII to transport American troops and refitted as a luxury ocean liner in 1946. Thereafter it carried the world’s most interesting and influential people. It was felt that a fitting tribute to the demise of such a great liner would be the creation of a limited amount of Parker pens made from the brass rescued from the ship – and this is one. Each pen has a special wooden box together with a Certificate of Authenticity stating the limited edition number. This number is also carried on the cap lip with the text “Parker Made in U.S.A. 1716/5000”. As you will see from the montage the presentation wooden box carries a brass plaque setting out the liner’s history and the fountain pen barrel has a plaque stating “RMS Queen Elizabeth”. The nib states “Parker 14k Point U.S.A.” and has medium marked on the rear of the feed. This example of a much sought after late vintage fountain pen is in good condition with only minor age wear including some cosmetic wear to the box front clasp and some letters underneath the box clasp. This is reflected in the price. There is no personalisation on the fountain pen itself. It is a good size and quite heavy vintage fountain pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 140mm with cap on barrel end. It can be used with bottle ink using the attached filler unit or with a Parker ink cartridge. A sought after Parker classic, it is suitable to add to a vintage fountain pen collection or to use as an everyday writer. I have photographed it on a photocopy of the Certificate to protect it. It is actually cream. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order. You may choose your method of payment at checkout.

This “Carltonware for Parker” desk pen holder was made in England c1930 to fashionably accommodate the Parker Duofold fountain pens of the period - however as you will see from the montage it will also accommodate a 1950's Parker 51 with taper barrel.  The stand's function is to hold the pen upright in the central tulip on a desk without its cap and usual barrel whilst maintaining the ink flow for immediate use. The cap and barrel are placed in the stand's dished tray until you wish to take the pen elsewhere. At which point you unscrew the tulip and put the cap and barrel back on for transportation - leaving the taper barrel in the tulip for use the next time. You will see from the montage that the attractive design is a chinoiserie enamel decoration on a dark blue field with a gilt outline. Condition is very good. Note that the base baize has been replaced at some stage but the Carltonware branding is still crisp. Along the rear edge is the Parker logo. It measures 92mm wide x 155mm long x 30mm high. “Carltonware for Parker” deskpen holders are rare to come to market particularly in this condition. It is illustrated and sold with a black Parker 51 fountain pen with a medium nib, rolled gold cap, normal pen barrel and a taper barrel end.

This unusual and stylish late vintage fountain pen was made by Parker in the England c1981 and is reported to have been discontinued with the rest of the series in 1983. It was termed the Parker “50” or Parker "Falcon". It followed the success of the original brushed steel Flighter version released in U.S.A. in 1978. The nib is an integral part of the section and on its launch Parker advertised it as the second pen without a separate nib – the first being the quill. Its sleek, elegant and futuristic styling is quite distinct. The polished nib tip is pleasantly offset by the matt brown nib section and, in this instance, the Signet gold plated barrel, cap with Parker arrow clip. It has the words “Parker Made in England U E” around the cap lip. It is a slim pen measuring 130mm with cap on and 140mm with cap on barrel end. It has a Parker twist fill ink converter filling system fitted (so you could use bottled ink) and it will also take current Parker ink cartridges. Condition is very good as can be seen in the montage. With its sleek aerodynamic styling this late vintage fountain pen is suitable to add to a collection or to use as an every day writer if you like a smooth medium nib. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This Conway Stewart No.286 was made in England around 1940. In the montage it looks as though the colour is black, in fact it is a rather attractive Forest Green which is not often seen. The barrel sports the Conway lever and has a black end. The text reads “The Conway Stewart” with “No.286” on the line below. Around the bottom of the barrel are the words “Made in England”. The cap carries the Conway arrow clip with diamond shaped CS emblem and one thin cap band. Conway advertised their pens as “The Pen with the marvellous nib”. In this instance the nib has a medium point and reads “Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 5”. It is a good size pen measuring 128mm with cap on and 162mm with cap on barrel end. Condition is good with only minor age wear and some brassing to the trim. An attractive Conway in an unusual colour, suitable for everyday writing or to add to a vintage fountain pen collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale.
