The rare Conway Stewart No.1209 was made in England in the early 1930’s. It carries two 18ct gold bands on the black barrel carrying the CS&Co. hallmark and the Conway diamond clip on the bandless cap. It has a large Conway nib with the text “DURO Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 40” which is the correct nib number for this model. It has a good barrel imprint that reads “The Conway Stewart No.1209” with “Made in England” around the bottom of the barrel. It is a good length measuring 128mm with cap on and 169mm with cap on barrel end. It is listed in the Conway 1932/1936 Price List as retailing at 25 Shillings – which puts it at almost the top of their range at the time. It is certainly a lovely vintage fountain pen, and the medium nib writes well. Whilst there is some minor age wear I would have expected to see a little more for its age, unless it is new old stock. It is a high quality model in very good condition and it deserves to be used as an everyday writer or as part of a Conway collection. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may select your method of payment.

This vintage pen was made by the English manufacturer Conway Stewart around 1950. This particular model has a light and dark green pearl finish and is an excellent example of the patterned pens issued by Conway at the time. The barrel imprint reads “The Conway Stewart No. 28” with  “Made in England” further down the barrel. The cap has a single thin cap band and the original CS diamond head clip. The filling lever carries the Conway branding. The nib states “Conway Stewart 14ct gold 5” and has a smooth medium point. The body is in good condition with only very minor age wear. It measures 129mm with cap on and 154mm with cap on barrel end. A chunky Conway that will sit well in a collection and is ideal to use everyday. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free of charge on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This lever filling vintage fountain pen was made in England by Conway Stewart. The model is No.475 and this example is unusual in that generally it has a single cap band whereas this is an example of the bandless version dating from around 1937. The jet black finish contrasts well with the rolled gold trim. It has the original Conway clip to the domed cap and the barrel has the original Conway lever. The main barrel text is a little worn but states “The Conway Pen – No.475” with the words “Made in England” lower down. The smooth medium point nib states “Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 3”. The 475 is a healthy size Conway measuring 128mm with cap on and 165mm with cap on barrel end. Apart from general minor age wear and some brassing to the trim, this vintage Conway is in good condition and will serve well as a classic Conway every day writer. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch. Filling instructions will be sent with your order and a gift box is available free on request at checkout where you may also select your method of payment.

This vintage fountain pen was made by Conway Stewart, in England, in the late 1930’s. The model, No.55, is a good size and sits well in the hand. The light and dark green marble colouring contrasts well with the rolled gold trim. The cap carries two thin and one thick rolled gold bands and sports the Conway arrow clip. The barrel states “The Conway Stewart No.55 – Made in England” and carries the Conway lever. The smooth Conway nib has a medium point and states “Duro Conway Stewart 14ct Gold 40”. Condition is fair to good with some age wear as you would expect from a well loved pen and this is reflected in the price. Chunkier than the 286 model, it measures 130mm with cap on and 156mm with cap on barrel end. This attractive vintage fountain pen will serve well as an everyday workhorse. All fountain pens are professionally serviced and bench tested prior to offering for sale. A further inspection is carried out before despatch.
