How much will it cost?
A basic restoration for a pen with a rubber sac (button filler, lever filler etc.) is £18 to £25. A basic service for other filling systems (Parker Vacumatic etc.) is £25 to £35.
If your pen requires any replacement parts (nib, clip, barrel etc.), the additional cost of these will be itemised in the restoration quotation.
The restoration quotation will detail the cost of the restoration and spare parts (if required) and the cost of return despatch by a secure method. If you wish VFPI to continue with the work, this will commence once your payment is received. Payment details can be found on the page Your Rights and how to buy.
Unfortunately our restoration service is only available to customers within the European Union.
How long will it take?
Turnaround time is approximately 3-4 weeks from acceptance of restoration quotation.
Is the repair guaranteed?
It is anticipated that restored pens will provide good reliable service for a reasonable period of time. Should a pen fail to function satisfactorily within twelve months of the service date, for any reason related to the original restoration work, it will be re-restored free of charge.
Is there any risk involved?
Yes. Whilst restoration is undertaken with great care, pens and their parts can become brittle over time and there is always a risk, however small, that a breakage may occur. Pens are therefore submitted for restoration at the owner's risk.
How do I send my pen to you?
Please make sure your pen is protected from damage in transit. If sending in the UK, use the Royal Mail's Special Delivery Service. If sending from Overseas please use an appropriate method of secure dispatch.
